Linuxademy

PRIVACY

Your data is yours.

Linuxademy is an independent project built to help people learn Linux and operate real systems. That philosophy extends to how your information is treated.

What I collect

I try to collect as little information as possible.

When you create an account, Linuxademy stores the information needed to operate your account, such as your email address, encrypted password information, course progress, and membership status.

Payments

Payments and subscriptions are processed by Stripe.

Linuxademy does not need to store your full credit card number. Stripe processes payment information according to its own privacy and security practices.

I don't sell your data

Your personal information is not for sale.

Linuxademy does not sell your personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or other companies.

Why I use your information

Information is used to run Linuxademy: maintaining your account, remembering your course progress, managing your membership, providing support, protecting the service, and improving the learning experience.

Service providers

A small number of outside services may be used when necessary to operate Linuxademy, including Stripe for payments, infrastructure providers for hosting and storage, analytics services, email services, and providers used to deliver course content.

The goal is to keep this list small and use services because they help operate the product, not because your information is a product.

Data integrity

I care deeply about keeping your information accurate, secure, and limited to what Linuxademy actually needs.

No internet service can promise perfect security, but the application is built with the intention of collecting less data rather than finding more reasons to collect it.

Your account

If you have a question about your information or want to request the deletion of your account and associated personal information, contact linux@linuxademy.com.

Changes

If this policy materially changes as Linuxademy grows, this page will be updated.
